Streetlights Poem by Ronald Speight

Streetlights

They give light to dim corners
Warmth to a cold reality
Watchful eyes over ill-lit paths

Curfews for kids to recluse
Back home
They breath life into a dead night

I consider them to be my
Guardian angels
Which preserve me from
The creeping darkness
And its friends
