Strong Mind, Weak Heart Poem by Cindy Rheeder

Strong Mind, Weak Heart

Be still my weak heart,
You are going way of the chart,
Listen to the strong mind,
And see what you will find.
Listen to the strong Mind,
And see what you will find,
When you look him in his eyes,
You will see all the troubled lies.
Be silent my pounding heart,
You are driving fast in the little cart,
Don't look into his eyes,
Or you will be swarmed with fluttering butterflies.
Listen to the brave mind,
And see what you will find,
He doesn't love you,
In the same way he needs too.
Behave my aching heart,
Our paths have to part,
I know you love him with all your blood,
But can't you see my eyes are flooded?
Don't listen to the confused Mind,
It has become unbind,
It spoke words of jealousy and guilt,
And destroyed all the hope you have built.
Cry my broken heart,
Go off the charts,
See the tears you have cried,
Only then can you stand up and get them dried.
