Strong Nigeria Poem by Oluwafemi Joshua

There is no limit to how long we can work
neither do we appear weak even though the weather is hot
we are a peculiar being
strong, determined and well trained
our culture defines us all
this is why we never go wrong when making choices

Strong country, strong people
we are the giant of Africa
though we fall but we will rise
we are people of strong fate
but fear grips me when we leave our mother land
to serve under the control of young masters
why can't we unite and build what we've always hoped for
the future is nearer than it appears
our children may not be able to bear the challenges that is attacking us
let us build a better future for them to enjoy
we know how far we've come from liberation
but their is no time that is too late to start
let us start now towards building a better future
O Nigeria, how stong you are.
