Successfully Choosing The Wrong Power Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Successfully Choosing The Wrong Power

Who is it sitting,
Wishing they had never lied.
But did.
Successfully.
With every attempt done to try.
Are seldom prepared,
To face the consequences.
Of their actions permitted.
Or the emotions these misdeeds leave,
Effectively with a permanent presence.

We all are born blessed,
With unique talents and powers.
And every wish to want is granted.
Ultimately to come fulfilled.
Especially known by those who pray.
Faithfully and not to stray.

However,
There are many others.
Taking for granted the wishes they get.
Believing it done,
Has nothing to do...
With The Almighty Creator,
Approving to allow the doing of this.
And still they are left,
Disbelieving their thoughtless selfishness...
Has a way to teach,
Unforgettable lessons to them received.
Regretfully.

The Almighty Creator,
Knows what is best.
And not left unknowing,
What had been done to others.
When, where and why,
Tests are in need to apply.
To have them either to continue,
For those who pass to the next stage of life.
Or...
Have the ones,
Repeating to remember...
What not to do.
Yet over again the attempt is meant.

"Everything.
Ever single thing,
I possessed and worked hard to get.
Overnight is gone.
Destroyed.
I have nothing. Nothing left! "

-Gee...
I wonder why?
Perhaps you chose the wrong power! -

"Power?
What power? "

-Thoughtlessness.
Selfishness.
Lieing to deceive.
To have your lies believed.
Who knows?
I'm just an observer.
Not a judgement passer.
That lesson was difficult to learn.
Thank God I eventually,
Re-evaluated that task.
And it was hard to admit it too! -
