Suddenly Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Suddenly

Rating: 5.0

dark clouds fiery
mar the sun
and the sky,
this is Kerala.
It seemed
rains are here,
but alas!
a gust of wind
washes
the clouds away.
a breeze cool
rainsoaked
saunters in.
it has rained
cats and dogs
elsewhere.

Who can fathom the mystery of nature?

I have written "a gust of wind /washes /the clouds away." I did not write "a gust of wind / chases /the clouds away." Deliberately. Hope my fellow poets understand

May I invite you to visit Kerala?

Windswept clouds take your rains away. Is it the wind's vagabond nature (in Sanskrit wind is called ‘Anila' meaning the one that does not stay at one place)

I cite your last three lines: It has rained cats and dogs elsewhere but not in Kerala! Sweetest created, excellenly worded. Home Sweet Home, Your Kerala, the most beautiful. TOP Marks

While during the monsoons, it rains cats and dogs all over kerala, the gods own country, the pre-monsoon showers might play hide and seek..
