Do not bare a child
If you are not willing to
Give every part of yourself
Being a parent
Fills ones heart
Seeing the continuous growing
Through sleepless nights
Nurturing, guiding and teaching the wrongs
From the right
Forever being the heart, the hand, the ear
That is needed
The joy,
The laughter
With the tears
Forever for filling
My baby eyes
Witnessed
No love
Nurturing
Nor guidance
Suffering in silence

Every child is a gift from God, to be cherished. Wonderfully well expressed verse.
Each and every line is powerful and insightful. To my Poem List
Thus suffering in silence.....valid substances at the backdrop! An excellent poem.
Do not bare a child If you are not willing to Give every part of yourself.....great opening stanza
(cont.) line 15: do you mean fulfilling? Otherwise i don't understand. From 'My baby eyes' onward to ending, the poem seems to paint a bleak picture. : ( bri Well done. : )
(CONT.) My 4th wife TRIES to do this for me now, at age 73: 'Nurturing, guiding and teaching the wrongs From the right' What makes her think I'm a baby? DON'T ANSWER THAT! !
lyn, line 5: i think you want 'one's'. ;) As for 'Give every part of yourself': save some part of yourself to yourself, your partner, and others, ...like ME! ! (CONT..)
Ha! Something about reading 'bear a child' did not seem 'right' to me. But, after some research online, I realized what i KNEW! ! Use 'bear' not 'bare' for giving birth. ;) bri
