Suffocating Poem by krystal Sheehan

Suffocating

I let these words suffocate me
as I lie down on the ground,
I just wait to be found,
why couldn't she leave me be?

I let her darkness surround me,
and beat me to the ground,
I would scream for her to stop and as I ask around,
for me to be set free.

I would ask for someone to come,
and cry out with a hound,
but out came no sound,
as i lie there numb.

Why am I always suffocating?
in my own anger and sorrow,
and I wait for tomorrow,
but until then, people are let always hating.
