Summer Mastered Poem by Michael Ó Domhnaill

Summer Mastered

Summer Mastered

I live hobbled, tied sensorally

between two trees,

The tree burning through the window

a jester transmogrified by summer sun; also

A tree roots transitory

in the absent sun of her gaze.
