Sunday Walk Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Sunday Walk

Took a walk on Sunday
down old Linthicum way
With my baby by my side
it was a beautiful day

Listened to the shrills
of cicada's in the trees
Took in the sights
no finer place to be

Walked up and down hills
as we slowly made our way
Tree lined streets
kept the heat at bay

The walk was suddenly over
seemingly as quick as it had begun
Felt so much better
put my blues on the run
