Sunset Coming Poem by Paul Sebastian

Sunset Coming

Sunset is Coming
By Paul Sebastian

Sunset is fast approaching
In orange-red sky dressing
Steps by days, quick pacing
Like a thief, night's visiting

Recollecting past gone days
Flashed-back the days of grace
Only memories, there I found
Blessings blending painful downs

Sunset is fast approaching
Numbered days are finishing
Affronting, life's unfinished tasks
Living each day, as if my last

Living a life worthwhile for others
To love unconditionally, my fullest
My life be an act of kindness
Be a gift for others happiness

Sun is blanketed to sleep
Peaceful slumber into the deep
Moon parades in, in starry gown
Shyness broken she's fully grown

Before I slip into night's oblivion
Be my deeds, like stars for someone
Like diamonds strewn across the sky
Then I rest, done living life worthwhile

Paid my life's price
Offered my sacrifice
To inherit paradise
Sun set, moon rise

I love the tone and the great wisdom of this poem. Let the deeds shine like stars. Such a beautiful image. Excellent poem, my friend.
