The sand is squishy
between our toes
The sky seems to
make us glow
You hold my hand
and look deep into my eyes
All I can do
is breathe a heavy sigh
As you get down
on one knee
It was our future
I could see
The wedding,
our children
Our house,
your man den,
and lastly
I saw us sitting on a porch
no longer young but very old
I took your hand that day
'Yes' was the only word I could say
