Sunshine And Rain Poem by Lilyann Monahan

Sunshine And Rain

Rating: 5.0

What's the sense in loving you? The amount that I do?
I'll cry to you upon my knees, I can't get further down.
when my heart aches to be free, of these feelings, this is true.
Tell me what you want from me, that I don't already do.
Hand to me my dreams come true, so I can love me too.
I feel so torn up inside, since youth began my pain.
And when I look for sunshine, all I see is rain.
God, do what you want with me I want to scream from the pain, my tears will make me drown.
but all I ask, do it all in love.
So I can have a second chance, and feel you from above.
I beg, I plead, please hear my prayers, I call aloud to you.
Take this anger and this ache, and say, 'Lily, I love you'.
She presses on through all the gloom, and all she feels is pending doom.
She hates herself and knows not what to do, to escape the penalty of being blue.
Her habits hold her like a glove, she prays for help from above.

Very intense poem, I can feel the emotion, pain, anger and need for love. Heartache is difficult to talk about, writing it out seems to help, doesn't it? Also write it out. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
