Supported Horror Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Supported Horror

The horror supported,
Endorsed to terrify.
Represents the wickedness,
A perceived status to have it...
Gives anyone to do,
Whatever misdeed they pick to choose.

From high in a position of leadership,
To gutter grubbing scrubbers.
Corrupted by fraud, theft and deception.
The entertainment of it,
Becomes as accepted with a mindlessness.
For those accustomed to monsters.
And the enjoyment of threats to fear.

No matter how severe,
Their quality of life...
Slowly evaporates.
While they applaud the craze to crave it.
With a consciousness that watches this,
Disregards the reality.

Standing by to cheer they do.
Observing the truth to disbelieve.
As they feast like homemade beasts,
Seeking to recreate the caves.
And the makeup artists,
To give them the look and the appearance...
Of the ones they follow,
Instructing them when and how...
A digging their own graves.
Is acceptable to portray...
Death.
Not to fear.
But for the fun of it to appease,
One they idolize as their fearless leader!

"What on Earth,
Are these people allowing...
Done to do to themselves.
Are they nuts? "

-That depends,
On how their loyalty to delusion...
Is expressed.-
