Suppose You Too Poem by Francis Duggan

Suppose You Too

Rating: 5.0

Suppose you too have known your miserable day
When happiness from you seemed so far away
When you think with sadness of your wasted years
And you feel too sad for laughter and too bored for tears.

Suppose you too have known the hard knocks of life
And you've struggled for decades with your inner strife
Whilst others around you are tasting success
You feel bored of life and you struggle with stress.

Suppose you too have known the pangs of despair
Yet the stories of your disappointments with none you can share
And of your shortcomings you feel so aware
But like you there are many and you are not rare.

Suppose you too have lived through times without hope
When with day to day living you've struggled to cope
Low in self esteem and racked by self doubt
Then you must understand what I'm talking about.
