Suspension Of Disbelief Poem by Aditya Marskole

Suspension Of Disbelief

Rating: 5.0

A voyeur of apathy and ear
Listens closely to where the other stays
I know, past thin wall.
Their distinct eerie gait,
Are they awake?
Blind eye to inferno behind and other to fisheye,
Severed and split,
A suspension of disbelief.
Oh, but how to seal this peace?

Of charmers around the corner
Suggestions of dark places they gave.
They knew not of leaves and petals
But of ghosts and dreams they talked.
From their solitary collaboration,
An unwritten teaching within closed doors.

His early dialogues of upstream paradoxes,
Ridiculous it seemed yet she swallowed.
But why?
While she in her internal flight, ceased to exist
In elevated sleep, she spoke to him.
But is he listening?

Obsession of pictorial faces.
Freakish, for voyeur it appear to be.
Deaf ear to the blazing back
He pressed the other against glass.
Severed and split,
A suspension of disbelief.
Unfinished lines he heard, saying
"…melancholic confessions….
..The tales of walk…."

Out of sync, their spontaneity on skin
Yet the melody monotonic captivates.
………………………………….

"Unblinking, the other eye still affix,
Undoubted, the other ear still by the wall.
Severed and split,
A defunct anatomy lies,
In between
Prelude and epilogue."

Charmers around the corner give suggestions. But death is undoubted. The other ear still by the wall whispers about this. A voyeur of apathy ear listens deeply. Brilliant poem is powerfully worded in expression.10
