Sway With Me Poem by Melissa Love

The little girl sits and cries in the corner,
Wondering why she felt so abandoned,
She had a loving family that cared for her so,
But thought just like the others they would go,
A feeling of such loss for people she never met,
Every thought just ended in a regret,

After her mom told her she wasnt her's,
Thoughts didnt kick in at first,
Then once she knew what it meant,
The cold feeling sunk in so deep,
It was like giving her hope,
And then telling her to it so couldnt keep,

Years went by and so did the questions,
The more that were asked the more unanswered,
She needed a hand to guide her there,
She wished she didnt love them, , , she wish she didnt care,
Why was this so hard why did she feel this way,
She didnt care that much she just wanted to know what to say,

This feeling would never end she thought in her heart,
Why did it have to take out such a big part,
The puzzles didnt fit,
It didnt make sense,
Being adopted should have been better than this,
It didnt matter knowing she was loved
It should have mattered.... yeah it should have,
