Sweet Eyes Of Slumber Poem by jodde taylor

Sweet Eyes Of Slumber

Here in this sweet stillness,
waiting under the pale moonlight;
Your vision, greets another slumber
all through a wild nights dream.

Views of yesterday,
absorb vapours of essence;
flying around in signs of fireflies
glowing far and bright.

Touched was this grace,
by the presence of your eyes;
Melting with feel of your hand
once a friend always born.

Searching in the early hours,
approached by dawns light
dust sweeps away, the tears
all left in drops of sorrows fears.

Never imagined,
could such a love feel so blind;
Everything came so easily,
such wonder fills a starry alibi.

When slumber comes,
a brittle hour approaches again;
Sweet views, come to take me away
to places where, a river flows.

In silent secrets,
I bath in the thought of your care;
And every minute shared
you are always there,

those eyes bringing peace
and what sweet slumber,
I long to meet
just a sweet dream, to fly with you...
