Inspiration,
From a flower
From a breeze
That passes by,
Inspiration from an hour
Wasted, looking at the sky,
Inspiration from love story
That was doomed,
Right from the start
All the pain and love and glory
That is felt within the heart,
From the memories of those feelings
That sometimes tear us apart,
Yet there's something very magical
In remembering love that's past
Those sweet moments when all glory
Had been yours, but did not last.
A poet's inspiration can come from just about anywhere. There's noting more satisfying than putting that inspiration on paper and ending up with a poem that pleases both the poet and the reader. May you have many more inspired poems like this one!
