Synesthesia Poem by Paul Hartal

Synesthesia

Rating: 3.0

The Porcupine was happy to see the Octopus.
'Hi. What's up? ', he greeted his friend.
'Hi', said the Octopus. 'I am intrigued by synesthesia'.
'Oh, really? What's that? ' asked the Porcupine.
'Oh, you know, a condition in which a sensory experience
associated with a modality occurs when another modality
is stimulated.'
'I don't understand this', said the Porcupine.
'Oh, you know, said the Octopus, for example,
you taste a food and see a color, or you hear a sound
but you feel hot or cold.'
'Very interesting', said the Porcupine.
'It's like what happened to me the other day
when I met this chicken accompanied by a goat.
The chicken was bleeting and the goat cackled.'
