Syria - Houla Massacre, Syria 27 May 2012

Rating: 5.0

Cover the mirrors
And close your eyes,
Turn from the window
And block your ears,
The tanks are rolling
And the shells are falling,
Your brothers are killing
And your family is dying.

United nationalists in disarray
And lies pleaded on a global stage,
Sides taken as doubts cast long
And words, a sea run red,
Implicated by body strewn debris
And tribal hatreds' festering wound,
Division and ultimate disintegration
And a basher, implosive and aimless.

Bury the truth
And watch the sky,
The shells are raining
And the tanks rolling by,
Salute the tribe resolute in impunity
And in clutches its' power and skill,
Imprints unborn babes with a hunger
And a binding desire to kill.
