Take It Easy Poem by Richmon Rey Jundis

Take It Easy

Rating: 5.0

I see you looking for the tiny spark of light
While you groping in the dark,
I badly want to help you find the light
I know that you're avoiding the fire from my heart,
But please, take it easy, my dear
You'll surely find the spark
That I guiltily took from you.

The floor where we stand both
Seems to build iron bars in between
That keeps me away from you,
The same wood where we often sit
Seems to warp and burn
That brings me a thousand feet away from you,
But please, take it easy my dear
For surely, time will bring the boundaries down
And soon we'll make it through.

Don't push yourself too much
Feel the pain that I have put in you,
Let the darkness devour you for some time,
For only through that
You'll see the value of joy and light,
So please, take it easy my dear,
And let me agonize with you
From a distant realm.

It has been a month since that cold December
When I have poured out my heart,
That brought you away from me,
Yet, I can now slowly see the spark in you,
You might not know it,
But I can see the light within you.
So, take it easy, my dear
For you are near finding the light
that I once took from you.

Don't worry about me,
Take it easy.
