You Are My Moonlight Poem by Richmon Rey Jundis

You Are My Moonlight

Rating: 5.0

I am the cold and dark side of the world,
Deprived of the warm rays of sunlight.
You are the dazzling crescent moon,
Staying up with me all night long.

Imperfect, your shape, may be,
Yet, you are the perfect pair for me:
Dark side of the earth,
Shining side of the moon.

Thousands are the stars shining
Around your humble beauty,
Yet no twinkle from them can take off
My eyes are fixed on you.

Your sweet scent of light
Pulls the tide of my soul:
You are the only one in the night
Who brings my emotion's tide high and low.

You drive my feelings crazy
When I stare at your midnight beauty,
Like a werewolf hungry and searching for you,
Can't sleep without a glimpse of you.

Dark clouds of the past
May block your shining beauty,
But your innocent light
Will always radiate toward me.

You embrace my dark past,
And enlightened me with your humility.
You take away the darkness in me,
When no one is there to shine in the night for me.

My mind was awakened by the reality,
That if evilness can be found
Under the piercing rays of the Sun,
Goodness can be found also
Hiding under the moon's glow.

In the middle of the dark moments
Your shine glows brighter.
Without these turning points in life
And unexpected dark crossroads,
I will never see your true beauty.

I might sound like the most selfish man
For I no longer want to see the Sun.
All I want is your presence,
I don't need anymore the smell of Sun's incense.

I might be crowned as the night's crazy,
But if it is for you, my one and only,
There is no problem with it for me,
For the truth is I am into you in reality.

You are my moonlight,
My only moonlight.
You comfort me
On my cold lonely night.
