Take Me To The Motherland Poem by Kendra Evans

Take Me To The Motherland

Take me to the place where our men can blend with any part of nature,
Where our bodacious bodies are praised and appreciated,
Where everything about me is celebrated,
and where sun can bask on my lovely skin.
Take me to the place where every step summons a drum beat,
Where they praise the sway of our hips sweep,
Where the clothes are made for my curves,
and where they tried to separate us but we always reunite as one.
Take me to the place where every living being should understand is home,
Where the food still tastes like mother nature crafted it all herself,
Where the land still flourishes in every corner of your sight,
and sunset are nothing like we have ever seen.
Take me to the land we were stolen from,
Where if left free our wild animals still run,
Where the land of all lands come from,
and where I'm sure mother nature came from.
