Take Them To The Lord! Poem by Alex Koonthanam

Take Them To The Lord!

If your worn out heart, mid trials and woes
Finds not peace nor repose, but feels gored,
By a thousand snares, and in despair
Lose not hope, take it to the Lord!

If your earthly glories and designs
Like mist in sun has disappeared,
Oh poor heart, bewail not your sort
Up! Take all to your Saviour and Lord!

If fondest bonds do end in aches,
Destiny snatches the deeply adored,
The rugged path of life you tread 'lone
Shed not vain tears, take 'em to the Lord!

Come, open up your wounded heart
Who sees, cares, cures ev'ry pain stored;
He will console you, caress you
As to a friend take 'em to the Lord!

If you creep and crawl and none seems
A pitiful glace upon you pour;
Veil all your wails to all else around,
But carry them all to the Lord!

Your aches, your hope, your plans, your doubts,
Injustices borne, strokes absorbed,
All failings of your heart and soul,
He's waiting there! take 'em to the Lord!

Take them all to the Lord, He will
Transform them to gifts and graces!
Who trod o'r waters, raised the dead
Will brighten your saddened faces!
