Take This Thing Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Take This Thing

All set, bags packed
Then out the door I go
My time sway upside
I'll feel no stress
The heart can testify
Cause it won't tell a lie
Impolite, it's so rude
Trying to make sure you
You don't hear me leave
One foot out the door
The longer I go to stay
Feels so wrong
Won't ever feel right
A flashing back to moments in time
Where you would do things
just to hurt me, oh yeah
And now I'm gonna
I'mma take this thing jump so
far down that this is long dead
Get you out my life
Get you out the way of my happiness
I don't want nobody who
Is going to have me blue
So I'm going to do
What I have to do
