Tonight I dined with an angel
Her voice like ambrosia
Filled with soothing comfort
My lonely heart
To gaze upon such beauty
Is to be treated as favor
From God's grace
To illumine my life
Ever so briefly she will enter
Into my world common to hers
Through equine reality
Bonded as friends
Then she will leave
As she arrived
With quiet fanfare
With her loveliness
