Tarnished Leaves Poem by David Harris

Tarnished Leaves

Rating: 3.5

The tarnished leaves of autumn
leave the trees lying bare.
Like skeletons reaching out
pointing skyward stare.
It is a closing season
and the tarnished leaves
are banished to the ground
to nourish the soil
for the new growth
when spring comes around.
