Tasty Zero Oil Curry Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

We prepared today food for good health,
We prepared this but without oil we cooked,
Directly cumin seeds were added in to hot pan,
These cracked after being brown in colour.

Then we added paste of ginger, tomato and chilli,
Adding little water we fried spice paste more,
We fried till brown redness appeared in spice,
Then we added cut pieces of mixed vegetables.

We stirred for a while and added water more,
Now we covered the lid and this boiled slowly,
We stewed this for fifteen to twenty minutes,
Then our curry was prepared was nicely gravy.

Beautiful and colourful appearance of curry,
Attracted attention and taste motivated mind,
In our lunch today every food was without oil,
Zero oil food was really tasty and healthy.

Our guests with us took, they could not know,
They thought our curry was cooked in oil,
We counselled our neighbour old man about this,
Guests and neighbour were astonished after knowing.
