Tavern Loss Poem by peter c.wsilliams

Tavern Loss

a slow red drip
blood from my eye
amind lost in dizzyness
maybe i, m about to die
a deep gasp of air i take
swimming my thoughts
a stagger toward the taverns door
for me no justice no law no courts
too soon the nights darkness fades
daylight sober me tries to rise
all vision distored no clarity though
my black blue eyes
