Tears From My Heart Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

Tears From My Heart

In the mist of strangers
Am left with nothing but myself to trust
Let me cry
If it'll ease the hurts i feel inside
Let it shine
If it'll brighten up my darkest nightmares
Let it rain
If it'll wash away my pains
Life is a strange place
And we all are strangers
And no matter how close i think i've gotten
To the answers about life
The farther i realise i am from it
And the more i think i know you
The more i realise i know nothing about anyone
And the only person i can ever be certain about is me
It brings tears upon my eyes
Knowing that i have to get a scar to heal my wounds
That i have to be deceived to know the truth
That i have to be deformed before i can be transformed
If i ever have to shed a tear
It's the tears from my heart
And no one could have been able to wipe it
But for the truth i found in you
