Tears In My Coffee Poem by Edwina Reizer

Tears In My Coffee

Tears fell in my coffee
as I was drinking my bitter brew.
The last few sips I swallowed
were salty because of you.
All it did was remind me
that there's another day ahead
when I'll try to stay dry-eyed
from the thoughts inside my head.
There's no sense in my complaining.
That will not help at all.
Get a diversion other than this pen.
Or more salty tears will fall.
