Tell Me Not ' Be Patient ' Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Tell Me Not ' Be Patient '

Indeed now I am a patient
Cool Breeze I asked for
Heat waves hovered around
Gentle flow I preferred the waters
Tidal waves pulled me down
Forward & ahead I wanted to move
Backwards I slide again and again
Fragrance I wanted to cherish
Foul smell filled the air
Harmony I wanted to prevail
Hostility encountered everywhere
I stretched my hands seeking friendship
The hands are tied back twisted and tortured
I prayed the God but the Devil has answered
Now tell me not' be patient '
Indeed now I am a patient
