Temptation's Revenge Poem by Briana Johnson

Temptation's Revenge

Rating: 5.0

Scarlet evanescent whirls of passion,
lust, and pride gleaming in our shine claw ferocious temptations

Seduction lured our ravenous souls together,
now teasing crimson flags of afflictions

Sensual, succulent moments cast a shadow on thriving pains,
but are finite to the inevitable

Clumsy emotions flush to conceal the embarrassments of the night
and shed dignity for a possible future

Coveted with guilt, days start on a left note
drifting into regrets so to out weight hope

Shall we now inquire decisions of yesterday today
to mold the new temptations of tomorrow?

Meaningless actions annexed with lament
cross paths with heartache

Riddle me the answers across the sky
that way finally I can look up from shame and cast away my misery
