Tender Poem by Tessa Roods

Tender

Rating: 5.0

Tender

I heard your tears.
You hid behind my door,
And I stood behind you silently.

I was too young to know
How to bury the sorrow.

In my eyes:
If we collected her favorite things,
It would eliminate all of the suffering.

I was too young to know,
That I couldn't make it not grow.
