Test for mother

11: 10 AM
I stood in a sad state
I thought in mind but wasn't able to relate
What crime had she done?
why has she gone in early stage?
Tears fall continuously
as I saw her stone in the grave
I just bowed head in silence
and painfully glanced
She had suffered mild smallpox
she was kept in the box
as the state was little concerned
I never thought this shall turn her into the grave
Her smiling face surfaced in memory
It was not liked by an almighty
She departed with no reason
we all prayed for her place in heaven
One by one scene just appeared
I feared collapse
still prayed for her peaceful rest
it was really the crucial test for mother

Mothers are irreplaceable. Their departure from our lives is painful. Can resonate with the lines. Life must still go on...TFS. Annapurna Sharma, Nellore, Feb 21,2019
