Thank You Poem by Srikumar Pany

Thank You

Rating: 5.0

Please let me live like me sometime
Burdened with the mask of success each times
Oh! ! ! How painful is playing a role all the time?
Oh! ! How unbearable it is in holding false identity every time?
Please let me live like me sometime

Let me free someone from this false identity
Release my face my eyes and my ears from the mask
Please do not ask my name race and my cast
I want to see
I want to speak
I want to hear
To this great manifestation of the world

I want to see the colorful festival of my country
My golden fields and small lanes of my city
I want to speak my dream my wish and voice of my heart
I want to hear the twittering of birds
My granny’s tell of and my folk acts.
I want to feel the morning breeze and dusty dune on my carts

Thank you thank you and thanks a lot………… at last

No ……. No I do not wish to see the pain and trauma
I do not want to hear the painfully screaming & horrified drama
I can not speak the cunning words which spreads odium & stigma
Please please color my face
Cover me with the mask
Tie my hands with the thread
Twitte my role in the ears
Give me back my colored glasses for eyes
Make me busy with the worldly task
Let me play my role, as one among the mass.

Thank you ……… thanks a lot ………finally at last………………
