Thank You Mother Poem by Jason Garraway

Thank You Mother

Rating: 5.0

Nine months you carried me inside you
Just like a little plant seed your heartbeat controlled mine
You brought me into this world you gave me life
Thereafter you have given me all your time

Whenever I cried you were always there to comfort me
When I needed you I received your full attention
Day and night you embraced me in your arms
There was never a shortage of love and affection

Crawling on my knees to taking my first steps
Your guidance taught me how to walk
Cute baby sounds to my first words
It wasn’t long before I was able to talk

The chemistry between a child and mother has a powerful bond
As nature takes its course so does the strength of a mother’s love
You nurtured, sheltered and protected me
Just like a Lioness watching over her baby cubs

Now I’ve finally matured into a full grow tree
Family photographs brings back golden memories
I’m grateful for the life you have given me
Our past will always be a special part of history
