Thankfulness Poem by NRUSINGHA MISHRA

Thankfulness

Rating: 4.0

Are we looking for reasons why we should be thankful or grateful?
Is it the mind or body or the intellect fooling us to feel we are not full?
Are we looking for the joy somewhere hidden in the jungle or the forest?
Like the deer in search of sweet fragrance running amuck and wild without any rest?
Is not this human birth itself a unique gift given to us from Divine?
No matter even it is long, or short span as long as it is sublime!
Vivekananada, Ramakrishna, Raman Maharshi showed us the path
L et us accept it wihout reason or rhyme to row us out of own wrath
Feeling of thankfulness and gratitude lifts a huge load from our head
Realizing that we are not alone and are bound in a common strong thread
It is not a goal and does not need a struggle but a very subtle thing you experience
Every human being is endowed with this power and can bring this with resilience
