That Day Will Ever Come? Poem by mamutty CHOLA

That Day Will Ever Come?

Rating: 5.0

Ho my life! Take me somewhere

Away from narrow mindedness and intolerance

Away from discrimination and hatred

Away from the cry and suffering of oppressed

Away from the plight of poverty and hunger

Ho my life! Take me where

Truth and care for others exist

Tolerance and brotherhood rule

Equal opportunity and justice prevail

Authority is treated as responsibility

Ho my life! Take me where

Songs of life rebound

Life, energy and action dominate

Celebration of victory, urge to excel mirror life

Aspirations to fly to planets beyond stars find expression

Ho my life! Take me where

Respect for humans and humanism rule

Opportunity for one and all for education and progress exists

Leaders and rulers give message of unity and inclusiveness

The rulers act like gardeners to nurture the nation

Will that dawn ever emerge from behind the horizon? ?

Or are they remain my unfulfilled dreams till eternity?
