That Little Girls Eyes Poem by Nathan Strange

That Little Girls Eyes

Rating: 5.0

No one ever knew and no one even asked
But why was he so quiet?
His sister seemed pretty fine but she got it too.

Sadness lurked in his eyes
And few words were ever spoken

He was searching for the answer,
The answer for his suffering.

But why was he abused?
At such a tender age?

He was only six back then…
And he learned to take the pain.
I couldn’t imagine the suffering
It must’ve been insane…

The suffering he went through,
All through his youth,
Up until he was 14 years old,
He was sexually abused.

When he left home the abuse
was finally stopped.

When he got to 21 the
Truth was finally dropped.

But
Nothing was said for years and years.

And
The sister got a boyfriend
Then she had a baby.
A little baby girl.

She was the saviour to their world.
A reason to keep on living.

Maybe they could forget
The past
and start a
new beginning.

The demons plagued the sister too
But she found it easier to conceal.
I sometimes think of both of them
and the feelings that they feel.

Both of them…
Robbed of what was good and pure!
Robbed of their
Innocence.
Their innocence
And more...

She went to the police to see what
She could do…

There was no justice that could
cure the crime…

This sick crime in hand!
The damage was done,
No jury was too stand
Nothing could be won!

The police paid the dirty old man a visit,
And then he made a run.

He pulled out a piece of rope
As he never had a gun.
He tied it around his filthy
neck
And from that ceiling’s
Where he hung…

It was quiet then
The storm was gently over.

The brother and sister
Are still alive

Alive like little soldiers
They are my heroes
To this day
And
As I look into
that little girls
Eyes,
I realize its okay!
