That's Good, That's Bad Poem by Peter Hall

That's Good, That's Bad

When good people say bad things about you,
That's bad.

When good people say good things about you,
That's good.

When bad people say good things about you,
That's bad.

When bad people say bad things about you,
That's good.

When you let bad people define you,
That's bad.

When you let the Truth define you,
That's good.

When you let lying thoughts and lying emotions define you,
That's bad.

When you let God define you,
That's good.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; (II Corinthians 6: 8,9 NKJV)
