That’s Just The Way Of Life Poem by Rachana McPherson

That’s Just The Way Of Life

Say what you may, do as you please
Sing the songs you like, and eat all you need
This freedom you have came about from many fights,
And at the end of the day, all we ever say is,
That’s just the way of life.

Murderers roaming the streets,
Robbers doing their dirty deeds,
Rapist preying upon young lives
And at the end of the day, all we ever say is,
That’s just the way of life.

We need to start taking responsibility,
For the sins we have committed and for giving strength to the guilty,
The spoils of our actions, the misuse of our freedom and our lack of humility,
We need to change the way we think and the things we speak,
And for the love of God! We need to quit saying for every wrong deed,
‘That’s just the way of life’
