The Jewel Of Her Face Poem by Rachana McPherson

The Jewel Of Her Face

Staring into the depth of her soul,
The colour of her eyes is one to behold,
It’s not ocean blue nor hazel green,
Its not caramel brown, but it’s a black pearl sheen.

This ‘Jewel of her face, ’
Accompanied by her rich personality, and topped off by a million dollar smile, made her seem, to me, like the wealthiest babe ever.

Often in her incomprehensible talks, most do not get beyond her face, as they are seemingly astounded and captivated by the beautiful jewel in that unreachable place.

But why be envious, Why be filled with grudge?
Why be in sinful lust and in awe for my two year old baby girl who can’t even talk.
