The Betrayal Poem by Alc Harris

The Betrayal

Loyalty
Counts for nothing
When hearts are involved

With a slight of hand
The menu is chosen
Under the table

The violinist
Offering the perfect distraction

All is fair
She says
But is it
When one bleeds
Into the chocolate soufflé
Used to disguise betrayal
