A bud wraps in cocoon flowers
Whose petals are too tender of blades
To fend against the climate of the hour;
The same happens to hearts in love.
As winter melts and spring flows,
The whiffs carry sweeter perfumes
That eventually cause bees to buzz;
The same happens to hearts in love.
Then on a night when owls are blind,
When those who oppose hold their peace:
When wind hushes and rain drizzles;
The ceremony as of ages proceeds:
The dried skin veiling the made faces
Of flowers falls, and true beauty is shown;
The same happens to hearts in love.
