The food sucks
Have ya begging for
Ramen noodles on canteen day
In the cage

What a ride
They tell ya

5 other dudes
In the nude
Have ya glued

Which author is that?
Stephen King's and James Patterson's
Are like gold
And ya get 3 hours of 'rec' a day
If ya do what ya told

The feelings ya feel are sub-human
Everybody assume'n
They know how you feel or what ya doing

Sadness! With the ways of the world today. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for reading my poem Edward! ! When I wrote The Cage I wanted the reader to get inside that cell with me if only for a moment or a day to see what it's really like in there..Trust me I didn't watch a jail movie then write this poem..I wrote it sitting on a trashcan in a 8x12 cell..So it's genuine...I believe our best work as poets come under life's more harsh challenges or situations, , For me when I read poetry I'm looking for that emotion that people are trying to express...Sorry for the rant here..Have a great day
