The Child Is No More Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Child Is No More

Child is no more
Monday.27th Sept 2021

The child is a flower of the human garden
he or she makes it heaven
for all humans
it is the prized possession of a woman

one soul disappears all of sudden
making your life barren
floods it with sadness and concern
and turning all happiness

the tragic end
that always comes on the memory screen
and becomes sorrowful seen

for mother, it is an irreparable loss
for father, it seems fuss
no fragrance in the life
and future stuffed with strife

it is part of life's cycle
one comes for a destined period and struggles
we watch helplessly and witness and end
we are not in a position to weep or send some parting words

I remember losing my wife and child
both were in an excellent condition
but God might have chosen otherwise
we need to console ourselves as a wise man
