The Choice Poem by Lauren Humphrey

The Choice

As I stand here and look before me,
I see light, and, I see darkness.
I see success, and, I see failure.
I see two paths, both worn down, both taken often.
To the right, lies emptiness.
To the left though, beholds wonder and magic.
The choice may seem simple, but to some it strikes them to stone.
For they wonder, do I have what it takes, or, should I just plan for the worst.
Confused and frustrated I stand and search.
What path do I want to take, what chance am I willing to risk.
I am stuck here in the middle,
Life is flying by,
I guess I’ve already chosen…
