The Clouds Poem by Kitten Marie

The Clouds

The clouds shed your unshed tears,
they let go what we keep bottled up inside,
They even hide our sorrow in their sparkly droplets.

The clouds are fearless....
they do what we do not.
Letting go of the pain is something they do well,
We should learn to take notes.

Letting go is hard, while keeping it in is easy.
Holding back is what we do best,
Our least favorable trait.

Let it out,
let it be swept from you.

Some say crying is a sign of weakness,
but they are surely wrong.
Crying is a sign of courage.
A sign of growing stronger.

Never giving up.
Never giving in.

The clouds know and respect this,
they have no shame.
Too bad we can't all be clouds.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was feeling down, and got to thinking about how little I've cried for all the sixteen years I've been alive. I feel like poetry is another way for me to cry, and so this poem was born.
