The people have stooped so below
They will never encourage or allow
Good people to perform without fear
They are almost devil and near

The corruption has gone deep
Into veins and flows to keep
Greed intact and enjoy the fruit
Modern society takes pride and it suits too

You visit any government office
You will have to bribe or give promise
That something will be paid in return
If work is done satisfactorily in turn

Such is situation in country and may be elsewhere
Where people are afraid even if honest they are
People too are to be blamed to certain extent
They are responsible for scenario at present

Person is caught red handed after taking bribe
Still he will continue in service and survive
The witness may be bribed and case is turned weak
What to think of lawyers and justice to speak

It is powerful weapon in the hands of corrupt officials
They will straight way demand on arrival
Good food and lavish entertainment
There is not much left for comment
